The customer called us to report that the glass on the Samsung Range stovetop is cracked and requested that we fix the issue. Glass cooktops are very practical – they are easy to clean, and their burners are protected against mechanical damage. However, there’s one problem: the glass can be accidentally broken. Of course, the glass is tempered and not easy to break, but if something heavy and hard, like a cast-iron skillet, is dropped on it, the result is pretty much predictable. The same thing happened with our customer. He accidentally struck the edge of the glass with a heavy skillet, causing it to crack. In such cases, the only solution is to replace the glass, which we did.
Replacing the cracked glass on the Samsung Range stovetop
To perform the replacement, we had to disconnect and remove the cooktop from the oven’s body. After that, our technician completed the replacement. There were no difficulties, and the technician removed all the old glass shards, taking the broken glass for proper disposal.
