Water is leaking from under the Frigidaire refrigerator
Brand: FrigidaireModel: LGHD2369TF1
We had a case of a Frigidaire refrigerator leaking water from under the refrigerator. Such cases are always interesting because it’s like being a bit of Sherlock Holmes. Water can leak due to a clogged defrost drain or issues with the refrigerator’s water system.
Frigidaire refrigerator leaking water: Troubleshooting and Fix
The technician inspected the freezer for water and found nothing, which indicates that the drain is clear. Next, the technician pulled out the refrigerator and began inspecting the inlet water valve. Immediately, they discovered that the tube leading from the valve to the water filter had a crack. Every time the customer dispensed water from the dispenser or the ice maker filled with water, it would leak through this crack onto the floor. Unfortunately, you can’t simply cut and reinsert this tube into the inlet valve because it has a special connection, so the entire filter housing needed to be replaced, which we did. Such breakdowns occur due to either the poor quality of the part or simply over time.
