GE range not heating up: one of the heating elements is not working
Brand: GEModel: JBP24B0B2WH
A customer contacted us with a complaint that their GE range not heating up. The wire connected to the heating element contact has burnt out. This is a common issue with the basic GE range model. The connector sometimes burns out through no fault of the customer. It’s simply a matter of time taking its toll.
GE range not heating up: repair
The easiest solution is to install a service kit with new connectors. The kit includes four connectors for all the elements, and the replacement process usually doesn’t take long.
In any case, we don’t recommend attempting this repair yourself because these connectors carry a high current, and the replacement must be done correctly. If you attempt a simple “twisting” method, there’s a high probability that the connection point will heat up and burn out. Our technicians always have this service kit in stock and can fix such a malfunction during the first visit at an affordable price.
