A customer contacted us with a complaint that their Frigidaire refrigerator is warm and the freezer is also malfunctioning. Sometimes we have to fix the poor work of other companies, and this is one of those cases. The client was dissatisfied with the inadequate cooling in their refrigerator and freezer. Upon inspection, our technician discovered a lack of air circulation as the root cause of the issue. The motor and its evaporator fan were working, but the blades were not spinning. However, the technician noticed that non-original blades were installed, and the blades themselves appeared to have been roughly cut.

The technician concluded that the original blades were likely broken, and the technician from the previous company simply didn’t have the correct replacement in stock, so they installed blades from another refrigerator. Perhaps, due to the mismatch, they had to trim the blades, but this caused an imbalance. Over time, the hole in the blade expanded, and the impeller simply stopped holding onto the motor shaft, causing it to stop spinning, which led to a lack of air circulation and frost accumulation on the evaporator coil. All they needed to do was to install the original part. The client was unaware of this, and when we showed him everything, he was quite surprised. Our technician installed the original blade and defrosted the evaporator coil, and the refrigerator started working correctly again.
