Samsung Washing Machine Doesn’t Drain: Diagnosing and Repairing the IssueBrand: Samsung
A customer contacted us with a complaint that their Samsung washing machine does not drain water. One of the common issues with Samsung washing machines is the failure to drain water properly, often accompanied by a humming sound from the pump without actual water drainage. A frequent cause for this problem is a malfunctioning drain pump or a clogged drain system.
Samsung washing machine does not drain water: Diagnose and Repair.
To diagnose the issue with their Samsung washing machine, users can follow these steps. Firstly, users can check the filter, typically located behind a small door at the bottom left of the machine. This is the initial step in diagnosing and resolving potential drainage issues with their Samsung washing machine. Opening the door and unscrewing the filter allows users to carefully inspect for any debris or foreign objects. Through this process, they can determine if a simple cleaning is all that’s required to resolve the drainage problem.
If the problem persists, the likely culprit is a faulty drain pump motor. The motor may either burn out entirely. Alternatively, it may have a rotor that continues to spin while the impeller remains stationary due to damage. Replacing the motor involves a task of moderate complexity and requires specific skills and experience.
The replacement process involves removing the top panel of the washing machine. After that, disconnect the Door Boot gasket from the front panel and detach the lock from the front panel. Finally, remove the front panel, being mindful of the two hidden screws at the bottom. With this action, gain access to the drain pump assembly from the bottom left.
