The LG refrigerator does not cool enough
Brand: LGModel: LFC20760ST/02
A technician responded to a service call where the client complained that the LG refrigerator does not cool enough. The technician conducted a diagnostic and found that the evaporator was not producing enough cold.
Judging by the external signs of improper frosting, it was assumed that there might be a freon leak. The technician measured the pressure in the system, confirming the suspicion. After a high-pressure nitrogen test, it was discovered that the leak was minimal. Leak in evaporator could be fixed by adding stop-leak and recharging with Freon, avoiding replacement. The client agreed to this, and after that, the refrigerator started freezing properly again after the recharge. When dealing with issues in the sealed system, making the right decision requires extensive experience because a quick and easy fix doesn’t always work. Sometimes, you need to locate the leak and either weld it or replace the entire component, such as the evaporator coil or condenser coil.
