Bosch dishwasher E15 is a leak-protection or water-in-base indication on applicable models. It does not mean the filter is dirty or that the dishwasher simply is not cleaning. Stop the cycle and consult the manual for your exact model.

What to Do if E15 Appears

• Stop using the dishwasher.
• If you can safely reach its water shutoff, turn off the supply.
• Do not pull out or tilt the dishwasher, remove its panels, dry the base, or bypass the leak-protection system.
• Arrange qualified service to locate and correct the source of water and inspect the protection system.

If the appliance is not displaying E15 and is only leaving dishes dirty, follow the separate user-cleaning guidance in the owner’s manual for your model. Do not treat E15 troubleshooting as a filter-cleaning procedure.
